ECO-HERITAGE’s second Workshop

On 11–12 June 2026, the ECO-HERITAGE project held its second workshop in Naples, within the framework of the international conference Geografia e Migrazioni, the VII edition of the “Geografia e…” interdisciplinary study days. The event was hosted by the Università di Napoli L’Orientale and organised by the Società di Studi Geografici.

The two-day meeting brought together scholars from across the social sciences to discuss international and internal migration as interconnected phenomena reshaping contemporary territories, cities and societies.

The workshop also provided a valuable opportunity to situate the project’s research within the wider debate on migration and territorial transformation, exploring possible connections between the management of cultural and natural heritage and the dynamics of mobility that increasingly affect European cities and landscapes. The exchanges with researchers working on migration studies offered new perspectives for the project’s ongoing comparative analysis and contributed to strengthening the network of academic contacts relevant to its future development.
